Recipe Name: Lemon Rice

Recipe Name: Lemon Rice
Cuisine: Indian
Serves: 4

Ingredients: 
  • 1 1/2 cup rice (cooked)
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 2-3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp groundnuts
  • 1-2 red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal (split)
  • 1/2 tsp chana dal
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste


How to cook?

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add urad dal and chana dal. 
  3. After 10 seconds, add mustard seeds and groundnuts and allow them to crackle.
  4. Add green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and turmeric and let it fry for about 20-30 seconds.
  5. Add rice and salt and stir well.
  6. Switch off the stove.
  7. Squeeze lemon and mix well.
  8. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
