Recipe Name: Coconut Rice
Cuisine: Indian
Serves: 4

Ingredients: 
  • 1 1/2 cup rice (cooked)
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 2-3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1-2 red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal (split)
  • 1/2 tsp chana dal
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • Salt to taste


How to cook?

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add urad dal and chana dal. 
  3. After 10 seconds, add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.
  4. Add green chillies, red chillies and curry leaves and let it fry for about 20-30 seconds.
  5. Add coconut and fry for about 20 seconds.
  6. Add rice and salt and stir well.
  7. Switch off the stove.
  8. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
