Recipe Name: Coconut Chutney

Recipe Name: Coconut Chutney
Cuisine: Indian
Serves: 4

Ingredients: 
  • 3/4 cup coconut (grated)
  • 1 tbsp roasted chana dal
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 small piece ginger
  • 1 small piece tamarind
  • Salt to taste

For tempering:
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 red chilli broken into halves.

How to prepare?

  1. Grind all the ingredients in a mixer with little water.
  2. Transfer the chutney to a bowl.
  3. For tempering, heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.
  5. Add curry leaves and red chilli and allow it for 10 secs till curry leaves become crisp.
  6. Add it to the chutney.
  7. Serve with dosas, idlis and other other variety of dosas.
