Recipe Name: Aloo Matar

Ingredients:
- 2 large potatoes (peeled and diced)
- 1 cup green peas
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
To be ground to paste:
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 2 large tomatoes (chopped)
- 1/2 inch ginger (chopped)
- 4 garlic cloves
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
- Add the onion-tomato-garlic paste and saute it till the raw smell of onions and garlic is gone.
- Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well.
- Add potatoes and green peas and stir well.
- Add little water and cover the lid till the potatoes and peas are cooked (approximately 10-12 minutes).
- Add garam masala, mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Switch off the stove.
- Add chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with chapatis or puris.
