Recipe Name: Bhindi Masala

Serves: 4

  • 250 gms Bhindi (chopped)
  • 2 medium onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 large potato (chopped into cubes)
  • 2 large tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

How to cook?

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the chopped onions and saute for a min.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute it till the raw smell goes off and the onions turn pink and soft.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala and saute till the tomatoes turn soft.
  5. Add bhindi, potatoes and salt and mix well with the rest of the gravy.
  6. Cover the lid and allow it to cook for 10 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally.
  7. Add little water and allow it to boil for about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Switch off the stove. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  9. Serve hot with chapatis.
