Recipe Name: Dal Makhani

Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole black beans (urad sapoot)
- 4 large tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 piece ginger
- 4-5 garlic flakes
- 2 red chillies
- 2 tsp coriander seeds powder (dhania powder)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp kasoori methi
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 cup cream
- Soak dal overnight in water.
- Grind red chillies, ginger and garlic.
- Pressure cook dal with sufficient water, 1 tbsp ghee and salt.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Add pureed tomatoes and cook till the gravy is thick and dry.
- Add coriander powder and garam masala. Saute it till the ghee separates.
- Add ginger garlic paste and kasoori methi. Saute it further for two minutes.
- Add the cooked dal to this mixture.
- Add butter and let it simmer for 15 minutes on low flame.
- Add cream and stir well.
- Serve with chapatis, phulkas or rice.
